EMPLOYMENT LAW

Sean advises employees and employers in all areas of employment law, including drafting and interpreting employment contracts and policies, workplace investigations, employment standards, severance packages, wrongful dismissal and constructive dismissal, human rights, and compliance with provincial and federal laws. He represents employees and employers in the Ontario civil courts, and various provincial and federal tribunals. He has negotiated hundreds of severance packages on behalf of clients. Where necessary, Sean has commenced and pursued civil lawsuits to obtain the best possible severance payouts for employees. Sean also has extensive experience representing employers in the defence of wrongful dismissal litigation and other workplace litigation.
HUMAN RIGHTS

Sean advises employees on the accommodation of disabilities, family status issues, as well as discrimination and harassment issues. Sean also advises employers on these human rights issues, and the prevention of human rights claims. Sean acts for both employees and employers in these human rights issues at the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, and in civil suits.
CIVIL LITIGATION

Sean also has extensive litigation and advocacy experience including trials, appeals, motions, discoveries, mediations and arbitrations in the areas of contract disputes, class actions, medical malpractice, commercial litigation, professional liability, administrative law, landlord and tenant law, enforcement of judgments and Liquor Licence Act matters. He has advised and litigated on behalf of individuals, major national and international companies, including law firms and governments. Sean has appeared before the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice, as well as various administrative tribunals.
